The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its softball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.
Raelynn Lee (Lane) was named Player of the Week, while Alexandra Ballester (Spring Hill) earned Pitcher of the Week honors.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Raelynn Lee, Lane | Outfield | Senior | South Bend, Ind.
Lee led the Dragons to a pair of wins this week while hitting .714 at the plate and carrying a 1.000 fielding percentage. The senior outfielder was 5-for-7 with two runs scored and a double. The two wins move the Dragons to 5-0, the best start in school history.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Alexandra Ballester, Spring Hill | Pitcher | Sophomore | Fullerton, CA
Ballester pitched a 7-0 shutout over Montevallo in Game 1 and earned the 3-inning save in Game 2 on Sunday.
